Current Practice Information

I am currently in private practice at 5805 Capistrano, #D in Atascadero, conveniently located off of Highway 101 near the Highway 41 exit. My office is wheelchair accessible. I have been in private practice since 2003, and working in the field of mental health and addiction since 1989.

Areas of Specialization

Alcohol and drug use and abuse is my specialty. Codependency and Adult Children of Alcoholics go hand in hand with Substance Abuse. I work with victims of abuse and adult children of dysfunctional families. In addition, I counsel individuals, couples, families and groups with symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting issues. Currently I am the only group facilitator for Nurses on Probation and in Diversion, in San Luis Obispo County. I also facilitate a Woman's Group devoted exclusively to dealing with the unique problems that women face.

Treatment is individualized with a Cognitive/Behavioral approach that maximizes communication and conflict resolution. Appropriate boundaries are modeled as I help people build a support system for themselves.

Fees/Insurance

My current fees are $85/individual or $95/couples and families for a 50 minute session. Groups are $40 per week, for a 90 minute session, a minimum of a 4 month commitment. I am on the panel for many insurance companies and am willing to bill, or give the client a super bill so that they may bill insurance themselves.

Women's Group

This group is for women dealing with practically every issue under the sun. It is filled with wonderful women looking for and offering support and healing with the help of an experienced therapist. Meets twice per month.

New Clients

I am currently accepting new clients. I work with children age 12 and older. I have both day and evening hours available. New clients can usually be seen within 14 days.
